At the party, the leading contender for the company spokesmodel, Julia Dempsey, is found dead in the swimming pool, apparently by suicide. Zoe Gibson suspects it was no suicide and hires a private investigator named Dean Thomas to look into the death. Dean digs deeper and deeper into the world of modelling and finds out that it is a lot more than just taking pictures and smiling.
