It’s technically a horror film, but honestly, I’ve always seen it more as a quirky, slightly off‑kilter comedy wrapped in spooky packaging. It’s nowhere near the chaotic brilliance of Evil Dead, but it still has enough humour and oddball charm to keep me entertained. I enjoy how the film leans into its own absurdity without ever pretending to be something deeper or scarier than it is. The creatures, the bizarre set pieces, and the overall tone feel like the filmmakers were having fun—and that energy carries through. For me, House is one of those comfort‑horror movies: light, silly, and easy to throw on when I want something enjoyable without the intensity of more serious genre entries.
