Hotel Transylvania 2 is a fun, fast-paced family sequel packed with laughs and heart. Adam Sandler shines again as Dracula, blending over-the-top comedy with surprisingly sweet dad moments. With colourful animation, silly monster humour, and a warm message about acceptance, it’s an entertaining watch for both kids and adults.

I just watched Hotel Transylvania 2, and I would give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. This sequel brings back everything that made the first movie fun while adding a new story that keeps things fresh. It is filled with comedy, great animation, and plenty of monster madness that makes it just as entertaining as the original. Adam Sandler returns as Count Dracula, and he is just as funny and over the top as before. His voice performance gives Dracula so much personality, making him a fun and relatable character. This time, his struggles are different, but they still lead to plenty of hilarious moments. His interactions with the other monsters and his family bring both comedy and heart to the story. The rest of the cast is just as strong. Selena Gomez as Mavis continues to bring a great mix of charm and independence to her role. Andy Samberg as Johnny is still his goofy and energetic self, bringing plenty of laughs. Kevin James, Steve Buscemi, David Spade, and Keegan Michael Key all return as the classic monster gang, and they add even more fun to the mix. Each character has their own moment to shine, making sure that no one feels left out. One of the best things about Hotel Transylvania 2 is that it expands on the world that the first movie introduced. The hotel is still the main setting, but the story takes the characters outside of it as well. This makes the movie feel bigger and more adventurous while still keeping the monster themed humor that made the first film great. The animation is fantastic. The exaggerated movements and expressions make every character feel full of life, and the action is fast paced and fun to watch. The character designs are still creative, and the settings are even more detailed than before. The visual comedy adds a lot to the film, making some of the funniest moments even better. The humor is exactly what you would expect from a Hotel Transylvania movie. There is a mix of slapstick, wordplay, and plenty of monster themed jokes that keep things fun. Some jokes are aimed at kids, but there is enough clever humor to keep adults entertained as well. The comedy never feels forced, and the timing is spot on. One of the biggest strengths of this movie is how much heart it has. The theme of family is strong throughout, and there are some really touching moments that balance out the comedy. It is not just about making jokes. It also tells a meaningful story about change, acceptance, and learning to let go. That emotional balance makes the movie more than just a simple comedy. The pacing is solid, keeping the story moving without dragging in any spots. There is always something happening, whether it is a funny moment, an action sequence, or an emotional scene that adds depth to the characters. It never feels slow or boring, and the energy stays high from start to finish. The only reason I would not give it a perfect score is that the story is a little more predictable than the first movie. It follows a familiar formula, and some parts feel like they could have been explored more. But even with that, the movie is still a lot of fun and never feels like it is just repeating itself. Hotel Transylvania 2 is a great sequel that keeps the fun going while adding new elements to the story. It has plenty of laughs, amazing animation, and just the right amount of heart to make it stand out. I had a great time with it, and it is definitely a movie I would watch again.

Good movie and I like how it builds on the family. The I’m in love with a monster song is catchy.

It was OK, but the ending could’ve been a lot better

Great sequel to the first movie. It’s a nice watch for kids, the jokes are still simple so kids know what’s going on. Personally I believe it’s better than the first film.

Felt like a spinoff more than a sequel. Much much worse than the first movie.
