- Kit LazerMarch 3, 2025There are a dozen or so movies I’ve probably seen 100 times. This is 1. I’m gonna find the others now. Stay tuned.

- VDecember 6, 2025The only Peter Pan movie I watched growing up. Loved the parenting aspect of the movie and how adults views get sckewed by the world.
- flavo43November 21, 2025Hook offers a lavish, bittersweet twist on the Peter Pan mythos, imagining a grown-up Peter who forgot Neverland while spotlighting Captain Hook as a wounded, theatrical villain craving purpose. Spielberg’s direction often drowns in sentimentality and clutter, and tighter pacing with a sharper focus on Peter’s family and Neverland’s rules could have deepened the emotional impact. A more nuanced arc for Hook and less slapstick might also have strengthened the tone. Still, the cast is a delight: Robin Williams’ vulnerable warmth, Dustin Hoffman’s wicked charm, plus Julia Roberts, Bob Hoskins, and the exuberant Lost Boys keep it enchantingly watchable.
- Matthias LudvigsenAugust 19, 2025One of the best family movies of the 90s
- CravanThePugilistNovember 8, 2025I don't wanna grow up!
- pipanniSeptember 14, 2025A wonderful classic that is also by far the best Peter Pan story. Everyone in the cast is great, but a special mention has to go to Dustin Hoffman's portrayal of Captain Hook, which I honestly think will never be topped.
- Noah Austin BrooksSeptember 3, 2025Hook is a deeply disappointing film that fails to capture the magic and wonder of J.M. Barrie's beloved story. Despite a star-studded cast, including Robin Williams as a grown-up Peter Pan, the movie lacks coherence and depth. The attempt to blend nostalgia with a modern narrative falls flat, leaving viewers feeling disconnected from the characters' journeys. The special effects, though ambitious for their time, often seem overdone and distract from the story. Overall, the film struggles to deliver a compelling exploration of childhood and imagination, ultimately making it a forgettable experience.
- ርልዪረAugust 30, 2025A genuine masterpiece and one of Spielberg’s best films. It’s a shame that critics attacked it simply for a controversy Julia Roberts had going on at the time the film released. The fact that the movie made nearly 5x its budget back (making over 300 million at the box office, all the way back in 1991), and is still held in very high regard by viewers today, is a testament to how great this Robin Williams classic is.
- mickerdooJuly 3, 2025Outrageously good set design, going all the way for the story and Robin Williams make this adaptation worthwhile and legendary.
- Justin HardinJune 29, 2025I love this whole concept. This is my film I watch when I need to smile and just feel that childhood joy again.
- tellumAugust 19, 2025Very unique take on Peter Pan, but Robin is much more charming acting as a child around adults. Here he is an adult around children and then has to learn to be a child again to hang out with the children, which is pretty awkward.
- Lord_TulkasJune 2, 2025Steven Spielberg, Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman, Maggie Smith, Bob Hoskins... what else can you ask??? Along with The Goonies, one of the best and most lovable adventure movies of all times... I could only wish Hollywood would keep making movies like this. It's definitely, a Must Watch...
- Tiffie StarchildMay 31, 2025Hook will always always always be my #1 favorite movie of all time. I think this tracks because Peter Pan is also my favorite Disney animated movie - I just love the story so much and I’ve always loved this idea of Peter Pan growing up and having to rediscover who he is. Robin Williams’ portrayal of Peter will always be legendary and while at first I found it hard to watch this movie again after his passing, now it’s a comfort.
