I find the exploration of record store culture and the insights into music snobbery incredibly engaging and very funny. However, the romantic storyline is lacking and does not resonate. If the story emphasized the music aspect more, then it could have been great.
- 4d agoFive minutes in and I already wanted it to end. The story is unbelievably stupid, the acting is painful, and almost every scene feels like a complete waste of time. Jack Black, the masonic clown of this mess, spends the movie yelling, making ridiculous faces, and desperately trying to be funny. It’s not funny - it’s just exhausting. This isn’t even the fun kind of bad movie. It’s just boring, annoying, and completely pointless.
