That giant monster bird creature is the perfect metaphor for what happens when parents repress their children's real emotions just to maintain a "picture-perfect" image on social media, even though the story is told in a really strange way, the core message is straightforward. How some mothers force their children to conform strictly to their own expectations. The movie highlights a mother's total control over her daughter, while the father tries to mold his young son into a mini-version of himself. The weird presentation actually worked for me, and honestly, today's parents could learn a lot from this film and the acting, the message everything spot on.
