Hard Boiled Ratings & Reviews
- debrawilkins8383d agoAwesome movie, Id watch it again
- James SaenzApril 12, 2026“your pee-pee really saved the day, kid.” i’m sorry i know everyone loves this movie and i can see why but i just could not gel with what was going on here. it had me hooked for the first half hour and then i slowly started losing investment. i love tony leung with all my heart and really respect chow yun-fat and john woo; the action set pieces are staggering (the long one shot shootout through the hospital hallways being a standout); the babies are so cute; despite all of that, i just felt really disconnected from this film for a majority of my viewing and that’s disappointing. maybe it’ll click for me on a repeat viewing.
- mickerdooJanuary 26, 2026So exciting. Dated but a blast too watch. Extensive action set pieces. Death toll is off the charts. Woo with Yun-Fat is chef’s kiss.
- CherryflixJanuary 11, 2026The quintessential Hong Kong action flick. Watch this.

- Buster The BearSeptember 19, 2025Lots of fun. Lots of slo-mo. The plot is hard to follow for the first half of the movie, but it all comes together in the end.
