- Patrick Zito1d agoNice follow-up. I don’t know what people expected from this with all the bad reviews. It’s for the fans.
- Michael VincentJuly 25, 2025Many films get a long awaited sequel, and unfortunately they dont hit the mark and pollute the original......but this film takes you back and hits all the marks and its a great follow up. 👍
- NTCUOfficialJuly 27, 2025This movie was the first movie in a while to make me laugh so hard, I loved the first movie, so when I got a chance to watch this, I knew I had to! I did like the humor for most of the movie. The cameos were funny and unexpected. The finale was intense (for me), and there were some problems I had, like the main villain or other crap. But I still enjoyed it! I just hope they don't make a third one. Don't get me wrong. The first two movies were enjoyable. I just don't want this to end up as like a cinematic universe or something, anyway, what a fun watch!
- Manuel Frangis7d agoI just watched Happy Gilmore 2 and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. There is something incredibly special about seeing a story come full circle, and Happy Gilmore 2 does exactly that. From the very first scene, I was pulled back into the offbeat charm and heart that made the original so beloved. It feels like no time has passed, yet the film also manages to stand on its own with fresh jokes, bigger emotional stakes, and a surprising amount of heart. Adam Sandler slips right back into the role of Happy like he never left, and it is both hilarious and deeply satisfying to watch. The movie balances its humor and story beautifully. Every laugh feels earned and never forced, with that classic blend of ridiculous situations and sharp one-liners that made the first film so iconic. But what really surprised me was the emotional depth woven into the story. It is about more than just golf this time. It is about legacy, friendship, and finding your place in life as things change. There are moments that genuinely hit you in the heart, and they make the funny parts even better because you care so much about the characters. The supporting cast is phenomenal. Seeing familiar faces return brought a huge smile to my face, and the new characters add just the right amount of energy. The chemistry between the cast feels effortless, and it makes the story stronger. Christopher McDonald returning as Shooter McGavin is a treat in every way, and his scenes are some of the most entertaining of the film. There is a perfect balance between nostalgia and fresh storytelling, and the film never leans too heavily in either direction. Visually, the movie looks great. The golf courses are stunning, the action sequences are filmed with surprising energy, and the soundtrack is full of fun, fitting choices that make every scene pop. The pacing is excellent too. The story moves quickly but never feels rushed, and every moment matters. What I loved most about Happy Gilmore 2 is how it understands why people loved the first movie. It does not just recycle old jokes or moments. Instead, it builds on what came before while giving you something new. The message about growing older, facing change, and still finding joy in what you love is powerful and relatable. It leaves you smiling long after the credits roll. There is a sincerity to the movie that you do not always see in comedies. It embraces its absurdity, but it also embraces its characters and their journeys. By the end, I felt like I had just spent time with old friends, and that is rare. Happy Gilmore 2 is everything I could have hoped for in a sequel. It is funny, heartfelt, and full of life. Whether you are a fan of the original or seeing Happy for the first time, it is the kind of movie that makes you laugh, makes you feel, and makes you remember why you love movies in the first place.
- PlexInfiltrator2d agoPretty good for nostalgia, but terrible nonetheless.
- TechnoRichJuly 26, 2025Loved it
- ccuthbertson932d agoDoes not disappoint, as good as the first movie.
- JeremeyJuly 25, 2025Somewhere between a golf sequel and a midlife breakdown... Happy’s back. Older. Angrier. Slightly more stretch-resistant. The swing? Still violent. The humor? Like someone poured whiskey on a defibrillator and shouted "PICK UP YOUR PUTTER!" Cameos fly faster than his tee shots. One of them might’ve been Jesus. No one’s verified. I laughed. I choked. I might’ve learned something about love and loose pants... or at least how I'll never swing like those rubber backs. 4 stars. Because subtlety’s overrated—and so are golf carts with seat belts.
- M08YJuly 26, 2025For a sequel to a low budget Adam Sandler movie from 30 years ago, Happy Gilmore 2 isn't bad. It's silly, fun and ram packed with callbacks and nostalgia to the first film.
- falkerJuly 25, 2025The amount of cameos in this is almost overbearing. It's cool for a while, but it's almost impossible to concentrate on a scene when your head is whirling. A decent movie, though. Not the worst Sandler movie, but a better follow-up than I was expecting.
- Alex | Pop Culture BrainJuly 25, 2025History is littered with terrible comedy sequels, but Adam Sandler somehow just defied the odds. I watched Happy Gilmore 2, which is now on Netflix, so here's the good and the bad without spoilers. This is easily Adam Sandler's best original comedy in decades, a delightful return built exclusively for fans. It's juvenile and silly in the best way possible, but it never forgets the heart. I laughed a lot all throughout, and I thought it had the perfect blend of callbacks and new jokes. There's a ton of quick running gags and even more wacky physical comedy. Sandler leans into his mature, curmudgeon persona, but remembers that Happy Gilmore is also a sad sack who's dealt with a lot of tragedy. Golfer John Daly has a very funny supporting role. Christopher McDonald is great once again as Shooter McGavin. They give him a new dynamic in this film that I really appreciated, and there are so many fun cameos from celebrities, pro golfers and Adam Sandler's friends. It feels like the golf community really embraced the sequel, which made sense for the story. Happy's sons are also hilarious, and the movie has a couple of great needle drops. As for the bad, the third act tipped a little too far into surrealism for my taste. Sandler's wife and daughters aren't the best actors. There are a lot of clips from the first movie to jog your memory, which felt very redundant to me. And likewise, there's a lot of repeated exposition, but maybe the most frustrating thing about this is that the movie’s on Netflix and not in theaters, because I think it would have played great with a huge crowd. Anyway, if you love the first movie and you're open to some silliness, you will love this. He absolutely nailed it.
- Zac Johnson5d agoLaughed all the way through, if it works, it works and Sandler’s comedies just work.
- raytango19July 26, 2025I laughed the whole movie. Not a ad addition. Classic Sandler.
