    It’s just so far removed from the original even though it’s less than a decade from the original. Dick warlock is NOT my favorite Michael and the story was just… fine.

    I hadn’t seen this since i saw it on a rented Betamax at a sleepover as a kid. It scared us all at the time. Now, not so much. Overall it’s pretty decent, but pales in comparison to the original. Donald Pleasance returning as bat-shit Dr. Loomis is welcomed, for sure. I was surprised by how little Jamie Lee Curtis is in this until the last act. She spends most of the movie in a hospital bed. And that hospital! Why is it so empty and so dark? What happened to the babies? When did nurses stop wearing those white uniforms and hats? I love that a kid is sandwiched by a cop car and burned to death and no one seems to care at all.

    Not as good as the first one. You wouldn't miss anything if you skipped this one in a series watch.

    It picks up directly where the original left off, but left the quality behind. It pales in comparison. Gone is the suspense, mystery and dread, in favor a high body count. Yes it satisfies on that base level, but I expect more out of this series...

    Turns up the gore and atmosphere but loses a bit of the first film’s tension. It’s stylish, has some great eerie moments, and the hospital setting works, but it’s not as tight or scary as the original. Still, a fun watch for slasher fans.

    Had it on in the background while I played Balatro so I will wait for rewatch to give if a proper review. Enjoyed it! Might have sawn this before. Unsure!

    Continuing about one minute after where the original left off, it feels more like an extension of it than a sequel to it. And that's great.
