- "THE MOVIE FANATIC"January 16, 2026Goodness me this movie was a chore to get through! The film is trying so hard for us to like, get to know and spend time with the characters, it just doesn't work at all, because they are all so unmemorable, uninteresting and bland! It just feels like the entire time we spend with them, all feel like exposition dump tbh. There's no feeling of suspense & tension here and that's crucial for a shark movie. There's also not any effective jumpscares, you don't feel on the edge of your seat at all! I'm just looking at my⌚️ for most of the 90 Mins, counting down the mins & seconds for it to end, I was that bored 🥱 This isn't the worst shark movie I've ever seen, but it's the most dull and boring that I've seen. Finally I was very mixed on the shots of the 🦈🦈 some looked terrible & fake and then you had some shots of the 🦈🦈 that looked really good & real, so a very mixed bag when it comes to the filming and the shots of the sharks. If you want a shark movie, that you can fall asleep to, then this is the 🦈 movie for you!
- jackmeatJuly 12, 2025My quick rating - 4.2/10. Oh, does this movie look good! An exotic travel brochure minus the killer shark really. But once you get over the visually impressive location, you are left with Jaws on a raft. The biggest problem with those trapped and a killer ________ (fill in the blank) has been done so many times before and better recently, that this just falls through the cracks as a lesser example. This one also suffers from some really annoying characters. I don't think it was their fault completely, as the script seemed to toss some stupid dialogue at them. But still, it got taxing. But that is NOTHING compared to my biggest gripe in this film. There are people who set records for holding their breath underwater and remain entirely still. Those in this movie will put them to shame holding their breath for far longer, and while doing crazy things such as, I don't know, fighting a shark???? So yes, when it comes down to the "let's take a stand as so many zombie movies and action flicks go with, this movie tries the same thing, against sharks LOL. At that point, I just shook my head until the credits rolled.
