Antwerp Florist Stefan Pielek closes his small shop, having applied for suicide permission as he finds no joy in life. While the police commissioner keeps him waiting, the loner meets several women, including Ophelia, the granddaughter to whom he brings he effects of crone who died from a heart attack while talking to him at a public event. She proves a fitting mate, who revives his will to live as they start dating.
