GOAT Ratings & Reviews
- DavChar19h agoThis was an entertaining movie, but not particularly memorable. A goat wants to be a professional roarball player (basketball but in weirdly dangerous arenas), but is considered on the small side. Again, entertaining in the moment but forgettable.
- mhamreus1d agoFor a kids’ animated film, it sneaks up on you. The bones are a little uneven with all the legacy and rivalry threads, but honestly? The energy carries it. And that’s where it wins. It leans into the absurdity just enough to make it feel fresh, instead of formulaic. That league? Kinda awesome. The over-the-top courts, the exaggerated rules, the anything-goes vibe. It feels like someone mashed up playground imagination with pro sports ego and just let it rip. You start off thinking it’s a gimmick, and by the end you’re like, “Alright… I’d watch a whole season of this.” What really surprised me was the humor. It actually lands. Not just kid-level slapstick, but legit laughs that hit across the board. It knows when to be silly and when to dial it back just enough to keep the story moving. That balance isn’t easy, and it pulls it off more often than not. It’s one of those movies where you go in expecting background noise and come out like… “Wait, that was actually decent.” Way more fun than expected. A chaotic, colorful sports ride that knows how to entertain without overthinking itself.

- foxlightning3d agoNot a huge sports fan so my review may be biased, animation is solid, characters are fun, but the story is the same story of every sports movie that ever existed.

- Ommar6d agoWhy is Bricklayer in this 🤦🏽♂️
- Hakihiko6d agoEnergetic and Stylish, but Forceful "GOAT" comes across as a film bursting with ambition and a clear desire to entertain at every possible moment. It presents an interesting premise and a bold creative vision, aiming to deliver something vibrant and memorable. While there are flashes of genuine excitement and originality, the overall experience feels uneven, struggling to maintain a consistent balance between fun and restraint. The performances match the film's exaggerated tone, bringing enthusiasm and intensity that help elevate some of its most engaging moments. There is a strong sense of commitment to the material, and when the energy aligns with the narrative, the film manages to feel lively and genuinely entertaining. Visually, the film is impressive. The animation stands out as one of its strongest elements, showcasing fluid movement, dynamic staging, and a confident use of color and style. The soundtrack supports the high-energy atmosphere effectively, reinforcing the film's fast-paced and vibrant identity. The script moves through a series of highs and lows, often pushing toward bigger, louder, and stranger ideas. While this approach creates moments of real excitement, it also leads to a sense of excess. The pacing can feel overwhelming at times, as the film rarely allows quieter or more focused moments to fully breathe. Because of this constant escalation, some scenes come across as forced, as if the film is trying too hard to impress rather than letting its strengths speak naturally. A more restrained approach might have helped the more impactful sequences stand out even more. Even so, its strong animation and occasional bursts of genuine fun make it an entertaining watch. Despite feeling somewhat overdone and affected by its own hype, the film still offers enough energy and creativity to remain enjoyable in parts.
