- Richard23. července 2026Geocentric Crisis is one of those streaming discoveries that feels like it materialized out of nowhere, the kind of movie you click on out of curiosity and then sit through thinking, “Alright… this is definitely doing something.” It has that modern, low budget charm where ambition is bigger than the effects budget, but somehow that makes it more interesting. The film leans hard into its premise: Earth is in trouble, people are panicking. It’s earnest, it’s chaotic and it has that unmistakable “we’re trying our best” energy that makes streaming originals oddly compelling. Visually, it’s a mix of decent shots and moments where the CGI clearly needed a coffee break. But that’s part of the fun. You’re not watching this for polished Hollywood spectacle, you’re watching it because it’s unapologetically going for it. The pacing is fast, the stakes escalate quickly and the movie never stops to pretend it’s subtle. The characters are exactly what you expect: stressed scientists, confused civilians and at least one person who exists solely to deliver exposition like they’re reading from a manual. And yet, it works. The film has a sincerity that keeps you watching, even when the plot starts sprinting ahead of the logic. It’s a little rough around the edges, a little wild, but absolutely entertaining if you’re in the mood for something that takes itself seriously while being just unhinged enough to stay fun. A scrappy, earnest, streaming oddity, not a classic, not a disaster, but definitely worth the watch if you enjoy movies that swing big even when the budget doesn’t.
