The second half shows one of those recruits, Joker, covering the war as a correspondent for Stars and Stripes, focusing on the Tet offensive.

I am actually learning about it right now in school and this movie helped me get an A+ on my science paper! Thank you so much to everyone who made this movie it really helped me out in school and in life. It was a great plot twist when the "fat guy" was getting punished in really terrible ways and then killed there captain and then killed himself wow I thought he would just be happy that he learned how to move his gun but I was wrong....... I am not gonna spoil anymore so if you see this before the movie........................................... GO WATCH IT IT'S SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!

- Mister ArnMay 14, 2025I can't help but feel this film was strongly influenced by "The Boys in Company C." There are just so many similarities, including R. Lee Ermey. As usual, Kubrick delivers on creating a film with amazing visual scenes.
