Frightmare Ratings & Reviews
- Kevin WardJuly 2, 2025A fun UK 70’s slasher with really excellent performances, a twisted family drama, tarot cards, driller kills, and (of course) mental health as public enemy number one. Excellent pick, Matt. I was totally engrossed with the acting and the performances here, which is not usually the case, particularly for older slasher. Damn, the voiceover on the final shot is absolutely diabolical. Loved it.
- Matthias_812April 2, 2025For a movie with two crazed maniacs released from the institution, one being a cannibal, and teasing power drill action- that practically guarantees a good time. Frightmare instead is slow, meandering, and straight up uninteresting most of its runtime. When there is on screen gore it's awesome but those moments are few. This is like a nicer looking Herschell Gordon Lewis film but just a step above.
