It's been nearly ten years since Freddy Krueger terrorized people in the dreams, and the towns folk want to keep him erased from their memory. Freddy still has one more plan on getting back to Elm Street. He resurrects Jason Voorhees and sends him off to kill. The more bodies which fall to the ground, the stronger in which Freddy becomes. This is until, Freddy realizes that Jason isn't going to step aside easily, and must be taken down himself.

Freddy vs. Jason Ratings & Reviews
- Carlos IbarraApril 10, 2025I'm sorry, but if you don't have fun with this, then you're probably just a miserable person. Sure, it's not as sophisticated as it could have been, frankly it's pretty damn silly and devolves into little more than a wrestling match. But it perfectly balances the style and tone of both series and offers up loads of fan-pleasing mayhem.
- Jacob O’NealJune 16, 2025Ronnie Yu, fresh off re-invigorating Chucky, works his mojo on the battle between two of the biggest slasher villains of multiple generations. Jason is still in Hell when Freddy, all but forgotten in Springwood, needs Jason start killing in his home town so he can be remembered and feared again, thereby regaining his power. Once Jason has been dispatched, Freddy realizes it’s not so easy to put the genie back in the bottle. This, of course, leads to the inevitable clash of the titans we get in the third act. There are many things to love about Freddy Vs. Jason. For any red blooded American male there’s Monica Keena and Kathrine Isabel. We have Freddy acting a little more scary and menacing. Jason is racking up kills left and right. Ken Kirzinger did well as Jason. It’s a shame he never got another shot. There were some characters that annoyed me, like Freeburg, the stoner who’s basically playing a Temu version of Jason Mewes from Jay & Silent Bob. No offense to the actor. I’ve heard that was a producer thing. The cast is good overall. The story brings in beats from part 3 of Elm Street with Hypnocyl playing a big part in the story. The idea of a second parental coverup occurring because the parents figured out that making the kids forget about Freddy and blocking them from dreaming would keep them alive. That’s pretty heavy when you think about that. It’s the idea of compounding lies to keep from telling the truth or splitting peas with a nail file for homemade split pea soup. I don’t know what that means. Ignore that last sentence. If you look closely during the scene at school when Monica Keena’s boyfriend shows up then you’ll see Evangeline Lilly’s big screen debut, long before Lost and Ant-Man made her a star. She was just a featured extra in a scene. But she was far more subtle than Jean Claude Van Damme in Breakin’. Next time - we talk about what the most obnoxious character thinks are so stupendous in the Reboot/Remake/Requel/Legacy sequel…? I’m not sure what to call it. At the end of that review, I will post my rankings of all 12 movies.
