- Kevin WardAugust 6, 2025Takes a few awkward steps out of the gate to “establish” our new characters before thrusting us into the body swap. And when the body swap happens it takes a little (perhaps a lot) of getting used to which characters are which. Once the film finds it’s bearings though, it’s a really entertaining and funny, family affair. Lindsay Lohan and JLC still got it. I was happy to see their characters (bodies) remain front and center. Lots of really funny supporting roles/cameos. I loved Vanessa Bayer’s palm reader, especially. Very much in keeping with the tone and tempo of the preview film. I was skeptical when this was announced, but this was a delight. Bonus half star for the 🇵🇭 representation. Needed more 🇵🇭food though.

- Rick MastersSeptember 22, 2025I struggled with this… its the same old tired thing (I mean, it is a sequel to a reboot) with cheesy, often embarrassingly bad “comedy” and a good amount of cringey dialogue. It looks like they were all having a blast making it though so that’s nice.

It leans into the nostalgia we love, then cranks up the chaos with sharper jokes, bigger heart, and genuinely fun twists on the body-swap madness. The cast clearly has a blast, the humour lands for both teens and adults, and underneath all the silliness there’s a surprisingly sweet message about family, growing up, and actually listening to each other. It’s funny, feel-good, and exactly the kind of movie that leaves you smiling on the way out.
