Flight Risk Ratings & Reviews
- RyezooFebruary 4, 2025Holy shit. That was one the funniest bad movies I’ve seen in a long time. Between the hammy script and crazy acting this was nuts. This isn’t a good movie but throughout I was laughing and by the end I was crying by how bad this was. That fire truck is the mvp of this movie. This is a fantastic watching with friends for a drinking movie.
- Tomas A. Consolacion, Jr.1d agoFun and entertaining. Dockery was badass.
- Rowdy Atkins2d agoAn action flick with limited scenes of which most are in an airplane. Characters were good though and it seems well directed. Wahlburg shows a limited talent in this film. However the two main characters shine with emotional detail and nuance. It’s definitely worth the watch.
- Tiago NazarethFebruary 15, 2025Nothing ground breaking, but still worthy of a watch. The kind of movie you watch when you want to relax and enjoy yourself without overthinking the details. I think some of the criticism it’s received is overly harsh. Wahlberg should take on villain roles more often, and was definitely the standout performance.
- GuitarWhisperMay 7, 2025I would rather lock myself in a room of farts then waste my time watching this film again.
- DadJuly 24, 2025They probably could have left Mark's hair on for this role, but seeing him as, the bad guy, was a bit of a departure for me. He pulls it off though and you can't wait for his demise. Worth a look
- Tim the toadJuly 12, 2025About what you'd expect from a movie that takes place in one location.
- bfgarciaMarch 29, 2025Not bad, but not great. Seems we are in n the age of movie factories. Formulaic, undifferentiated, and predictable. It's just good enough to watch.
- daveloganMarch 19, 2025Absolutely terrible. I honestly think they're paying people to review it, because the critic score doesn't like up with reality at all. I get people have a differing of opinions but I honestly can't see how anyone would watch this and think it's good. I saw one review calling it a good movie and that the bad reviews must be because of politics (turned out to be a Mel Gibson directed movie). So it could honestly just be Mel Gibson complaining to the right wingers that it's getting a bad wrap for no reason but that he's MAGA and to give a good review. Worst movie I've ever seen, by far. I'm a movie and TV buff, and love almost anything. This was just terrible all around. The acting is abysmal. The CGI was terrible. It looks like it was shot on a cell phone. The storyline was lazy. The script was pathetic. And the directing that brought it all together was the worst part. I honestly don't really know how anyone saw this and thought it was decent, let alone good. It's a "Thriller" but there was nothing thrilling about it. I knew what was going to happen before it happened, and I never saw the trailer. I'm a big Mark Wahlberg fan, and saw he had a new movie out and was excited. They didn't even properly color match the bald cap so you could pretty clearly see the line where it was on his head, which bugged me most of the movie The whole movie is just 4 scenes, the cheaply put together motel room, the scene where he's brought to the plane, the plane itself (which is about 95% of the movie), and the tarmac at the end. And doing a movie where 95% of the movie being in this little plane CAN work, but you need strong dialogue and acting. This movie had neither of these. I spent most of the movie thinking "Okay this is really bad, but for such a decent critic score, it must turn around at some point". It didn't. It feels like a cash grab, like whoever came up with this had a debt they had to pay off and just wanted to put something together for as cheap as possible, as quick as possible, putting in as little effort in as possible, and just sell tickets based off the stars alone. By far Mark's worst movie. About halfway through I told my wife whoever directed it should never be allowed to direct again. Found out after the movie that it was Mel Gibson, which didn't really surprise me. Do not spend any amount of money to see this movie, even if you're curious. Wait for streaming. 0/10 stars. If I'm being generous 0.5/10 stars.
- Tee HansenApril 18, 2025I’d heard bad things about Flight Risk. Decided to check it out for myself and actually found it entertaining. Wahlberg plays a great psychopath!
- Andrew LepidasJune 17, 2025Horrendous.
- Han TuanJuly 3, 2025Somewhat decent premise but the story is just basic, boring and dragged on for too fucking long. And why Mark Wahlberg is on the main poster like he's the protagonist?
- cybortechMarch 28, 2025What a bag of crap! Terrible acting, horrible script. Feels like a cheap TV film. Waste of time.
- jackmeatMarch 8, 2025My quick rating - 5.1/10. This movie follows a familiar action-thriller formula, centering on a U.S. Marshal escorting a government witness while dealing with a hitman pilot and a string of assassination attempts. While the premise suggests potential for tension and high-stakes action, the execution leaves much to be desired. The film lacks the suspense needed to keep audiences on edge, relying instead on tired clichés, including the ever-present "we have to land the plane without the pilot" scenario. The script plays it safe, never injecting enough depth or unpredictability to make the film stand out in an already crowded genre. Mark Wahlberg does his best to carry the film, and without his presence, Flight Risk would have been a complete dud. Michelle Dockery as the air marshal delivers a serviceable performance, but there's little she can do to elevate the bland material. Mel Gibson’s direction fails to add any real flair or intensity, making the action feel routine rather than gripping. The one redeeming factor? The scenery. The snowy mountains provide some visual appeal, but if I wanted to soak in those views, I’d just watch one of the many Warren Miller ski films I already own. Overall, this is a by-the-numbers thriller that never truly takes off. If you’re a die-hard Wahlberg fan, you might find some enjoyment, but for everyone else, there are far better action films to spend your time on.
- Kevin WardJuly 1, 2025So…I had a relatively fun time, BUT this was so bad. The acting is so bad. Gopher Trace, Marky, and even Dockery all potentially giving career worst performances. Characters make mind-numbing decision after mind-numbing decision. I know Mel has fallen from grace a bit, but I did not expect this to be that bad. I appreciate what Mark was going for, and it might be the only reason worth checking this out.
