- Zokkiie7d agoI really wanted to like this one, but The First Knight just didn’t deliver. With a solid cast—Sean Connery as King Arthur, Richard Gere as Lancelot, and Julia Ormond as Guinevere—I thought it had potential. Unfortunately, the story is weak and boring, relying too heavily on the love triangle rather than exploring the epic nature of the Arthurian legend. The fight sequences are also disappointing, looking clunky and lacking intensity. It’s not a total waste, but it doesn’t offer much that’s memorable or exciting. A bit of a letdown

Such terrific talent by Sir Sean Connery and Richard Gere, Ben Cross, and Julia Ormond was the greatest actress in this film....I recommend this film to anyone to watch who once believed in the Legend and in the magic of King Arthur and his Knights in an adult fashion. Fun for all the family! I can and will watch this movie over and over again, it's that good. And a lot of life gems dropped
