Finding Dory Ratings & Reviews
- mickerdooJuly 1, 2025One of the best sequels I've ever seen. Stayed true to the heart of the first. Great new adventure, setting and characters.
- Eldon McGuinnessMarch 9, 2025The second installment to the Finding Nemo franchise, however, focused on Dory the lovable blue tang that suffers from short-term memory loss. While diving deeper into her past, the movie follows the same formula as the original, with the main character setting out on a quest to find someone and getting into trouble along the way. Many of the characters make appearances, even Nemo and his dad, but thankfully this movie really tries to stand on its own and does a great job of it. As with the original, the scenes are just beautiful and really sell the underwater feel. Additionally, there is no shortage of laughs and hilarious situations, it is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
- RyezooFebruary 20, 2025Pixar has been a little hit or miss these past couple of films, so I was a little weary of Finding Dory. It could of ended up being like Cars 2 or Toy Story 2. I'm glad that it's the latter. Finding Dory is an excellent trip down memory lane and a blast to hang back out with these hilarious characters whether new or old. Ellen DeGenerous is fantastic once again as Dory and really works as the lead in this film. The addition of Hank the octopus is by far the best part. Every time he's on screen I found myself laughing historically. When I wasn't laughing at the film, it was managing to pull at my heart strings with a surprisingly emotional tale of Dory trying to rediscover her parents and where she came from. The animation is gorgeous and really draws you into their world. I saw this screening in 3D and think it's safe to say it's unnecessary to see it in that format. I'm going to keep this review short so that you can go into this film fresh and just be ready for another fantastic Pixar film. Make sure you stay for after the credits for a hilarious scene you won't want to miss!
