Fancy Pants pairs Bob Hope with Lucille Ball, with Hope leaning into his fast-talking coward routine, and much of the humor is rooted in gags and one-liners. The story of a British valet mistaken for an aristocrat is thin, serving mainly as a setup for satirical jabs at class, manners, and the absurdity of pretension. It’s watchable, but not the best showcase for either star.
