- cultfilmlikerApril 10, 2025What a beautiful sprawling intro. The music in this is extraordinary. Mesmerized by the direction from the get-go. What cinematography and landscapes. That hill vivisection tracking shot was just *chef’s kiss* 👌🏼 Love the naturalism & realism. And it’s spiritual too! lol As someone who ruined their eyes, legs, and hands from alcohol, the whole “salt-of-the-Earth” vibe really got to me. 😿 Boy, do I regret having never traveled out of the country! Japan is so intensely beautiful. The messages are so simple but so overlooked in our society, it makes the film incredibly good, important, and very necessary. One of them being: WATER IS LIFE ✊ and the obvious: Capitalism kills BUT: We can always do better ❤️
- NonPlayableContentJanuary 18, 2025I came, I thought deep, I got confused and had to google the last scene. Beautiful movie with good discussion on living in harmony with each other and the world. Really can only recommend this to people who can keep their phones down and want a story to be told not to an experience.
- Rowan KrzysiakJanuary 6, 2025It's from the same Director as Drive My Car which was slightly painful but this one I enjoyed from start to finish. I would suggest a central theme here is that everything is a grey area that is up for discussion and as such, there are plently of high-quality conversation starters scattered throughout. Recommended.
