But it's a cool Disney story with beautiful animation, music, etc. Although the songs they wrote for this feel so weirdly off... Idk, they just didn't fit, and felt very forced to the situation at times.

- Eldon McGuinnessFebruary 17, 2025This movie has such a colorful and beautiful aesthetic that I could just watch the scenery of the town all day and feel like I was on vacation. The characters, while gifted with various abilities, are also perfectly flawed in such a way that they fit together like puzzle pieces. Through the daily life of Mirabel, we see a family that initially looks to have it all, but in reality, is barely hanging on to each other. Ultimately it is not the extraordinary that saves the day but the desire for connection and understanding that pulls the characters and the story together. The soundtrack for this movie is a gem that can stand all on its own and is often in rotation in my home. The ending does leave me wanting more, but in a way that feels abrupt and needs a sequel.
