    Worth watching. Burt Lancaster was wonderful in this role as the charismatic drifter who survives by his wits, a likable and sad clown. I saw this years ago and it’s still relevant today, pointing out the absurd and contradictory values we encounter as human beings.

    I remembered this movie as blasting religion, but after rewatching it, I came away with a different interpretation. This time I saw Gantry as sincere but flawed, and it changed everything
