Echo Valley Ratings & Reviews
- Kristian Odland3h agoHow far would you go to protect your child? That's the burning question at the heart of this film, and let me tell you this movie pushes the boundaries in ways you will not see coming. This is a masterclass in suspense. From the very first scene, this movie grabs you and holds you in a constant state of disbelief as it bombards you with unexpected twists and absolutely shocking turns. Most of them, I guarantee you, will not see coming. And just when you think you've got it all figured out, the story throws another curveball, leaving you stunned and in a state of confusion. I pride myself on predicting plot twists, but this film had me second-guessing every theory I came up with—and I loved every minute of it. The writing is just so good. Julianne Moore is brilliant; she never misses. She delivers a raw, gut-wrenching performance that perfectly captures the desperation and fierce love of a parent facing the unimaginable. It's gutting! Sydney Sweeney steps into the role of the troubled daughter with real conviction. She brings depth and vulnerability to a character trapped in the destructive grip of addiction. And then there's Domhnall Gleeson. He's absolutely electric, playing a character so unhinged ...so unpredictable that every scene he's in crackles with danger. He is the wildcard that keeps you on edge, never knowing what he'll do next. But this isn't just a thriller, it's a powerful exploration of family, loyalty, and the impossible choices we make for those we love. It's a film that will leave you breathless, questioning your own limits, and thinking about it long after the credits roll. If you're looking for a movie that will keep you guessing, break your heart, and leave you stunned, "Echo Valley" is a must-watch. Trust me, you won't see what's coming.

- Johan PotgieterJuly 8, 2025The story is a bit of a slow burn. I do think it had too much heartache but sometimes that a persons life. The story was good and the twist ending was a surprise. Definitely better than some of the reviews suggest.
- SalemMAlameriJune 24, 2025The movie started slowly, but I really enjoyed the acting! Overall, it wasn't bad, but I don't think I'll watch it again.
- eyeofthetornadoJune 19, 2025“How can you protect your daughter if you have to protect yourself from her to start with?” That’s the burning question at the heart of Echo Valley, a tense, slow-burning thriller where motherhood is both shield and battlefield. Protecting your child doesn’t mean standing in front of the danger—it means accepting they might be the danger. Sydney Sweeney is unnerving and magnetic, embodying a daughter who’s either a victim of circumstance or a storm you should’ve seen coming. This isn’t just a thriller; it’s hardcore parenting at its most primal—raising a child in a world where emotional wounds cut deeper than knives, and trust is a constantly shifting fault line. Echo Valley doesn’t ask whether you’d kill for your child. It asks what you’d do when you’re not sure you’d even trust them with the keys to your heart. The echoes are not just sounds—they’re regrets, lies, and screams no one else hears.
- FigueiragamesJuly 6, 2025This movie has a slow narrative but the conclusion of history was unespected.
- Jan HayesJuly 6, 2025Was slow to begin with and I was almost going to turn it off but my son and granddaughter both told me it was good so I continued and was glad that I did.
- Rick MastersJune 17, 2025This is a heavy film… like you’ve the weight of a lake on your chest as we descend into Julianne Moore’s nightmare. It drags its feet occasionally, especially in the first half, but does kick into high gear towards it’s impressive climax. A decent little film.
- capitolfiJune 21, 2025Buoyed by some great performances, Echo Valley is certainly better than it has any right to be. The good is the obvious. Moore always delivers, maybe even more so when she's better than the material...and guess what? It kinda goes without saying. Sweeney is a great train wreck too, as anyone that's seen Euphoria can attest. And Gleeson at the very least makes an interesting bad guy. Sprinkle in a little Fiona Shaw and it's a tremendous cast. The climax doesn't exactly work, but ultimately it made a helluva lot more sense than I was expecting. So what holds it back? It should have been a series...just like Mare of Easttown. The building blocks are there but everything about is far too rushed to carry the intended emotional weight. Something with great potential quickly becomes yet another meh experience.
- Mark Van den EyndenJune 21, 2025Good acting, good script and Nice dimming 👌
- robertodigregorioJune 21, 2025There’s so much product placement that it seems almost as an Apple commercial disguised as a thriller
