Drive My Car Ratings & Reviews
- Kevin WardJuly 14, 2025Drive My Car is an almost meditative exploration of grief and coming to terms your feelings of guilt. I put this one off for too long. The 3 hour runtime and subtitles felt like a daunting undertaking when I typically start my solo movie watching at around 11 or 12 at night. But despite this films slow and methodical pace, it feels like it just flies bye. It opens with 40+ minutes before the opening credits (one of my favorite flourishes) and it’s final 20 minutes are wonderfully cathartic. Fantastic performances throughout as well and I’m definitely going to try to check out Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy soon.

- Rowan KrzysiakFebruary 13, 2025A film with some super high-quality moments but it just felt a bit too long and stupid for my liking. Could probably do with another viewing which I am in no way tempted to do. Nice car.
