DogMan Ratings & Reviews
- NNovember 8, 2025A good watch. Sometimes the good essence of a magical person can persist even given its own reason and right to be an awful person. Tragic and great acting. Caleb is lovely.

- Monkey See! Monkey Review!!September 13, 2025It’s always a treat to see Caleb Landry Jones take center stage, and Dog Man certainly gives him room to stretch his acting chops. TLDR -> A Showcase for Caleb Landry Jones, But Not Without Its Flaws. YOU DECIDE!! Known for his intense and often offbeat performances, Jones dives headfirst into a role that’s bold, emotionally raw, and undeniably extreme. It’s refreshing to see him in a lead role rather than relegated to the sidelines. The film starts strong—the opening minutes are gripping and promise something truly compelling. But as the story unfolds, the tone shifts in ways that feel awkward and, at times, cringeworthy. The dialogue and pacing occasionally veer into territory that’s more jarring than provocative, making it hard to stay fully immersed. While Dog Man does offer moments of intrigue and artistic ambition, it’s not a film that will resonate with everyone. Some viewers may find its themes and messaging—particularly its flirtation with radical political undertones—a bit heavy-handed. Others might appreciate its daring approach and the way it challenges conventional storytelling. Ultimately, if you’re curious to see Caleb Landry Jones in a role that demands intensity and nuance, Dog Man might be worth a watch. Just be prepared for a film that’s as polarizing as it is ambitious. Whether it lands or misses the mark is something only you can decide.
- stevencaceres245July 28, 2025I went into this film blind, just knowing that it was from Luc Besson. It lived up to everything you would expect from him. It has an underdog, who is in anti-hero who overcomes the greatest of obstacles to become the most unlikeliest of heroes. It’s a brilliant film that makes you feel all of your emotions. I mean that it makes your soul feel triumphant at the same time is giving you a kick ass experience. It’s why we go to the movies. For this unexpected amazing feeling.
- Jacob O’NealJune 8, 2025I’m really not sure what to think of this movie. Caleb Landry Jones was amazing. The dogs were awesome. The story was very different than I expected. It was a good movie that just took a little time to connect with me. Most Luc Besson movies grab me quick. I know he was trying to do something totally different this time. Of that he succeeded. I just don’t like the result as much as his previous films. Then again, it would be hard to reach the heights of The Professional or The Fifth Element with this weird little film.
