After 17 years, life has become too predictable and stale for Richard and Barbara Harmon. They argue, they visit a marriage counselor, and a drunk Richard visits a prostitute. They split up. After meeting other people, they are reunited at a nightclub where they realize that their marriage was better than their divorce.
