The Second World War has just ended and two old friends Rose and Antonia unexpectedly meet in London's Regent Street. Rose is a frustrated housewife married to civil servant with as many secrets as he has mistresses, while Antonia is sick of her rich husband and wants to marry her lover. They are both unhappy with their marriages and plot to kill their husbands.
