Where to Watch Darkest Hour
- Survivor AlwaysJuly 29, 2026An inspiring portrayal of a harrowing time in history and the kind of wisdom and courage it takes to lead. Some of the still shots in scenes are just beautiful. Great cinematography. The acting and directing is so well done. A great film all around.
- PatrikStarAugust 22, 2025Warmonger or war hero... the film leaves the question open, though the key scene unfortunately seems made up. Still, Gary Oldman delivers.
- Richard LambertAugust 25, 2026The film portrays a time of WWII I was not familiar with. I don't know how accurate it is, but through it you can feel the tension that must have happened at that time. Gary Oldman's portrayal of Winston Churchill was riveting. Kristen Scott Thomas's portrayal of Churchill's wife was also outstanding.
- Richard DavisMay 17, 2026Absolutely fantastic film. Troubling and emotional seeing the struggle of Churchill against the weakness of Chmaberlain and Halifax. Beautifully acted showing Britain at one of it's darkest hours in our history. Churchill is probably the greatest Briton, and this is why. Saving us from Hitler and Germany's fascism.
- Lincoln and Blake FrankMay 1, 2026Darkest Hour is powerful, focused, and genuinely immersive. Gary Oldman delivers an outstanding performance as Winston Churchill—you forget you’re even watching an actor. It’s not about action, it’s about the weight of leadership and the decisions that shape history. Darkest Hour absolutely delivers.
- willyboy68April 12, 2026Great movie that reveals the behind the scenes conflict among the British hierarchy. It also clearly shows what would have happened if Mr. Chamberlain had not stepped down from the office of Prime Minister.
- Richard Scott LongJanuary 6, 2026Great Movie! Oldman at hospital best! "Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts."
- dncallahan4570September 28, 2025Great interpretation of a trying time for Great Britain, Winston Churchill. Reason scrip, very well acted.
- martinstraka82April 2, 2025Wow! A great illustration of the burden and responsibility of power, and the toil and suffering it entails. To see a real leader at work in contrast to the monstrously idiotic and weak facsimile now dominating our continent creates inspiration and hope for all who are capable of seeing it.
- burtjohansonFebruary 5, 2025Gary Oldman is superb - giving a performance for the ages in this otherwise forgettable biopic.
- doctr2kFebruary 2, 2025Good movie
