Scott Eastwood gives one of his strongest performances yet as Dylan Forrester, an emotionally reserved but brilliant ex-con and former sociopath trying to stay straight after his brother's mysterious death. What starts as a simple funeral visit turns into a brutal showdown, and the film wastes no time throwing us into the action. Director David Hackl blends intelligence with explosive moments, offering something more than your typical shoot-'em-up. The dialogue is sharp, the pacing tight, and the emotional undertone surprisingly sincere. Mel Gibson, playing Dylan's offbeat psychiatrist, steals every scene he's in with his trademark sarcasm and unpredictability.
