Cobweb Ratings & Reviews
- Kevin WardJuly 2, 2025Should have been an October/Halloween release. Has some really creepy moments and is nicely paced. Starts off as kind of a ghost story / spooky mystery and then (without giving anything away) turns into a fun slaughter fest when some masked intruders enter the fray. Antony Starr has one of the most unsettling smiles in cinema history. Homelander vibes carryover into this one. Lizzy Caplan has a few unsettling moments herself. Really fun watch. Worth saving and checking it out this spooky season, if you haven’t seen it already.

- SpoonsNovember 25, 2024Cobweb is a delightfully eerie concoction—a modern fairy tale with a sharp edge, blending chills and chuckles into an unsettlingly fun package. The film crafts a story that feels both timeless and fresh, capturing the essence of classic bedtime tales while injecting them with a hefty dose of nightmare fuel. At its heart, "Cobweb" thrives on contrast. Genuinely funny moments are peppered throughout the narrative, offering just enough levity to lure you into a false sense of security before the creep factor cranks up. And then there’s the “monster”—a proper, spine-tingling creation that manages to terrify while staying true to the film’s fairytale roots. It’s the kind of character that lingers in the shadows of your mind long after the credits roll. With its blend of humor, horror, and a twisted sense of whimsy, "Cobweb" feels like the dark bedtime story you probably shouldn’t have heard as a kid. This film will be popular with fans of Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark or Mama, where unsettling creatures and fractured fairy tales collide in delightfully creepy ways.
