CHASING SUNRISE is a documentary following a father-son team of pro/amateur auto racers in the longest and most grueling sports car endurance race in the world, the 25 Hours of Thunderhill. The film follows Oscar Jackson, Sr. and Oscar Jackson, Jr., as they try to not only 'survive the 25' but win, which will challenge their physical and mental endurance, resolve, mechanical skill, strategic thinking and the reliability of their racing machine. Finishing may be enough for some teams, but the Jacksons are here to win. Their prototype car, named after a mythical Japanese catfish that causes earthquakes, placed third in class last year. This year, they're aiming for first place.
