Central Intelligence Ratings & Reviews
- Manuel FrangisDecember 5, 2025I just watched Central Intelligence and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. This movie had me laughing, smiling, and enjoying every minute because it mixes comedy, heart, and action in a way that works perfectly. From the very beginning, it brings an energy that grabs your attention and sets the tone for the whole story. It is fun, playful, and surprisingly emotional at times, which makes it a lot more than just a simple buddy comedy. I could feel myself getting invested in the characters, and that made the action and humor even better. It is one of those movies that does not try to be too serious but still gives you something meaningful underneath the jokes. The chemistry between Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart is the strongest part of the movie. Their personalities are completely different, and that is what makes them work so well together. Kevin Hart brings his fast talking humor and nervous reactions, which fit perfectly into the situations his character gets dragged into. Dwayne Johnson brings a surprising softness mixed with a confident and exaggerated personality that makes him funny in a way that feels fresh. He plays his character with warmth and innocence while still being physically intimidating, and that contrast is what makes him so entertaining. The way these two bounce off each other creates some unforgettable moments. The story is simple but effective. It follows two former classmates who reconnect years later, only to get pulled into a wild adventure involving danger, secrets, and unexpected twists. The movie uses this setup to explore friendship, personal growth, and how people change over time. The characters are not perfect, and that makes them feel real. Kevin Hart’s character struggles with feeling like he peaked in high school, while Dwayne Johnson’s character deals with past trauma and the desire to reinvent himself. Seeing them support each other and learn from each other adds real emotion to the story. The humor in Central Intelligence is consistent and well timed. There are big laugh out loud moments, especially when the characters panic, misunderstand each other, or find themselves in chaotic situations. Kevin Hart’s reactions are some of the funniest in the movie, and Dwayne Johnson’s unexpected personality quirks make his character even more entertaining. What I liked most is that the humor never feels forced. It comes naturally from the characters and the situations they end up in. The action scenes are fun and energetic without being too serious or too intense. They fit perfectly with the tone of the movie. There are chases, fights, and unexpected moments that keep the story exciting, but they never overshadow the comedy or the emotional parts. The pacing is great because the movie constantly moves forward without dragging. It gives enough time for the characters to develop but never gets boring. One thing I really appreciated is how the movie quietly addresses themes of bullying, self worth, and forgiveness. It shows how past pain can shape someone and how important it is to have at least one person who believes in you. There are moments where the movie slows down to show its heart, and those moments give the story more meaning. Even with all the jokes and action, the emotional parts stay with you. By the time the movie ended, I felt like I had watched something fun, uplifting, and full of personality. Central Intelligence delivers laughs, action, and heart in a perfect balance. It completely earned its perfect rating from me.
