Rainbow-observer Stefano suddenly discovers that he has an underage brother he had absolutely never heard of before, and that he needs to leave his beloved Piedmont Italian region to join him in Rome. Although reluctant to become the young boy's legal guardian, Stefano accepts the challenge--attracted by a substantial sum of money. However, during the return trip the two discover a far deeper bond.
