- jacob207731 de janeiro de 2025A true piece of art. This is a beautiful and smart movie with great characters and plot. It is almost unbelievable that this was released almost 40 years ago; if it was released this year, it would definitely win an Oscar for how outstanding it is.

- LivewireAdmin6 de agosto de 2025First Miyazaki film I haven't seen as I work my way through Studio Ghibli's catalogue. I wonder if they were going to keep the "princess story" going for as long as they could? I enjoyed the story in this one and the setting but it never quite reached the highs of Nausicaa or Totoro. By the way, I'm watching all of these dubbed if I can and I feel like the leads here weren't the best (Anna Paquin and James Van Der Beak). That being said, Mark Hamill is the villain and he did a terrific job (he even broke out the joker laugh a few times). If I ever do watch this one again, I'm sure it will be some time before I come back to it. In terms of the positives, the animation again was wonderful and Hisaishi knocks the score out of the park once more.
