- gamegye8June 13, 2025just a movie about minor league baseball, with ugly warts included. they curse, they spit, they yank chains. Not the movie it was made out to be to me, but if you like baseball this one is a good watch. the sex scenes kinda date it though

The animosity turned friendship moments between Kevin Costner and Tim Robbins are as genuine as they can get. Overall its a very humorous yet heartbreaking take on how sports (baseball in this case) influence and shape lives of those involved. This one kinda reminded me of another wonderful baseball film 'The rookie'.
