Jacques and Frédéric live in the North. They are friends and inseparable. Jacco lives with his bourgeois parents, a parasite; Freddie, mixed-race, is everyone's friend in the working-class neighborhood where his family has settled. Jacco and Freddie are vaguely looking for work. In fact, they prefer to go out, chase girls, assault people, and make themselves unbearable when they're not hanging out in the bar owned by Jacco's mistress, Magda, who indulges their every whim and also money whenever they want it.
