Filmmaker Wen Wen films herself making her semi-autobiography to analyze and empathize with her mother's pain. Filmmaker Wen Wen films an Asian daughter running away from her family, unsure where to go. Not answering her weeping mother's calls and engaging in promiscuous behavior to obtain money or to spite the mother, this Asian daughter then seeks refuge in her friend Gabrielle's home. Filmmaker Wen Wen sees that film is a reflection of oneself, as well as a critique of society. While Gabrielle falls in love with a China man that the daughter previously encountered, the daughter wishes for her mother to divorce her father, an act that is not so easy to achieve, even though desired. It remains a question of whether or not both the daughter and Filmmaker Wen Wen will return to her family.
