Blade Runner Ratings & Reviews
- Guff1985January 6, 2026The all time best science fiction movie ever made. Ahead of its time and still relevant today.
- CubaneJanuary 5, 2026I first watched this movie completely accidentally on Roy Batty's incept date, January 8, 2016. I absolutely hated it. I gave it a second chance equally accidentally on the day it takes place, November 20, 2019. I started to come around. Several years and additional viewings later, it's my favorite movie of all time. The plot is nothing special, and neither are the performances, but the stunning Vangelis soundscape coupled with the timeless practical effects make it without equal.
- JesseAndKendraL.January 1, 2026Brilliant film. Rutger Hauer is a standout of the cast. His final speech always brings me to tears. It is a literal look into the very near future. If you know, you know...
- ShmooflixFebruary 2, 2025One of the most beautiful and dark existencial poems ever made. A movie that can't be more universal and essential.
- Tommy1582August 16, 2025One of my all time favorite movies. Nothing more to add.
- HyperTendenciesDecember 31, 2025Personally one of my favorite films of all time. Setting the standard for sci-fi, neo-noir, detective films. A cult classic, way ahead of it's time.
- JakeysDecember 27, 2025The ultimate sci-fi neo-noir, truly influential and with a banging soundtrack from Vangelis. Make sure to get the Final Cut. It's a rare case where the pacing is pretty slow but the world is so enthralling, you barely mind. I wouldn't want to live in Blade Runner's world, but I'd love to just spend a night there. Also, Deckard forcing himself on Rachel is an unfortunate of the time approach to consent that is best left in the past. I should probably give it 4.5 on the basis of giving some criticism, but I can't not give it 5 for how high its highs are.
- hlouissaintDecember 18, 2025True classic masterpiece
- the audio analyst©February 10, 2025A nearly perfect film from one of the most gifted directors to ever make movies...
- Mister ArnMay 13, 2025What really makes this film great is it's use of light. In some scenes the lighting brings more drama to the screen than the script.
- nachopapaNovember 12, 2025My favorite movie 😮💨👌 so good
- ChrisLCarrNovember 19, 2025One of the best sci-fi films of all time.
- Richard ThorntonJuly 22, 2025The kinda movie guys love and their girlfriends hate. Belongs in any sci-fi fan’s top favorites.
- ርልዪረOctober 15, 2025You could call this movie “the best cyberpunk movie” and be sure you are right. Adaption of the Philip K. Dick's novel (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?) depicts a dystopian Los Angeles coverd in fog and endless rain.what the creators did in 1982 is truly incredible that it is better than many newer films, despite of using more advanced technologies. Vangelis's wonderful music evokes the characters' sense of loneliness and loss in the busy world around them. This feeling reaches its peak in the seventh track of the film's soundtrack, which is an absolute 9-minute masterpiece. unlike more recent works of this genre movie focuse on its characters and let them to develop and it does not confront them with issues such as systemic crises, class conflict, and corporations corruption that are often mentioned in works of this genre. Instead, it tries to convey messages such as the value of life, humanity, and forgiveness to the viewer without sloganeering. The actings is superb, especially Rutger Hauer, who creates one of the best antagonists in the history of cinema. Unlike the dry and stereotypical antagonists of most current films, his character is dynamic and charismatic, and has clear and understandable goals. His performance brings the character to life, transforming him from a military commander in a remote part of the galaxy into a life-oriented philosopher with a literary nature. There are shots in the film that, apart from their extraordinary symbolism, are truly aesthetically stunning. One such shot is shown at the end of the film, which multiplies the impact of the previous scene.
