Black Cab Ratings & Reviews
Scott
December 14, 2024
A great hook and performance from Nick Frost but even at 90 minutes I was really feeling the runtime. Probably would have been more successful as a short.
San Jose Mercury News
Randy Myers
There's some good stuff here; foggy-thick England backroads atmosphere and a serving of bloody comeuppance but the story just runs out of gas, leaving us stranded by the side of the road.
Blu-ray.com
Brian Orndorf
Viewers expecting evil from the premise are served a lukewarm chiller instead, and one that runs out of creative gas early.
Screen Rant
Grant Hermanns
Nick Frost sheds his typically jovial persona to become a maniacal taxi driver in Shudder's Black Cab, though the story's pacing is too inconsistent.
JoBlo's Movie Network
Alex Maidy
This is not a terrible movie or a great one, but Nick Frost makes it destination viewing with a charismatic and creepy lead performance.

Alex Broadwell
While Black Cab does possess some gorgeous and mesmerizing gothic qualities... it might have done well to lean into the former some more, and trusted the viewer to connect more of the latter's dots on their own.
Daily Dead
Matt Donato
The entire experience is a road to nowhere lined with ghastly figures who can't scare up a chill lest a scream, spinning their wheels without treads touching the pavement.
Decider
John Serba
If Black Cab had a little more focus and leaned more intently into its minimalist concept, it might've worked, but as it stands, it progresses in fits and starts to an underwhelming, unmemorable conclusion.
Bloody Disgusting
Paul Lê
An atmospheric ride driven by Nick Frost's creepy performance.
Casey's Movie Mania
Casey Chong
Nick Frost's sinister turn isn't enough to overcome this tepid horror-thriller.
Digital Mafia Talkies
Pramit Chatterjee
[If] futility and boredom were the whole point of the exercise, then I guess it's a job well done.
Mark Reviews Movies
Mark Dujsik
[T]he filmmakers have gambled that the ghost story is more compelling, unsettling, and worth exploring ... It's a bad bet.
Common Sense Media
Tom Cassidy
By mixing the supernatural, mystery, menace, and a small but effective bit of gore, there is a lot for horror fans to enjoy.
Cinema Crazed
Emilie Black
Black Cab is an effective thriller with horror elements that work, giving the viewers some serious chills and a strong performance from Nick Frost and Synnove Karlsen showcased by careful, calculated, and well-lit cinematography.
