Bill's Birthday Present
Directed by William DuncanBill, in love with Lottie, essays to surprise her with a present of slippers on the occasion of a dance given in honor of her birthday. His mischievous partner discovers the package and exchanges the dainty slippers for dirty old cowpuncher's boots. The lovely lady resents this by thumping the donor on the head with his gift. Then Bill, suspicious of his partner, determines to kick him, and they have an elegant settlement. Bill has no courage to go to the dance; but, through the aid of his intelligent dog, discovers a fire that threatens the premises, and becomes a hero in spite of himself. This brings his partner around with the slippers and an apology, and Bill is restored to the good graces of his petulant sweetheart.
