Air Force One is shot down by terrorists, leaving the President of the United States stranded in the wilderness of Finland. 13-year-old Oskari is on a hunting mission to prove his maturity to his kinsfolk by tracking down a deer, but instead discovers the President in an escape pod. - Spoons11 October 2024Jalmari Helander has now wrapped the Finnish style to action movies with Big Game, the same way he did to horror/fables in Rare Exports. Big Game is a great action film which channels 80's action with a slight quirkiness in tone which you don't get with Hollywood triple A titles. Samuel L Jackson is great but completely outshone by the returning cast of Finnish actors including the absolutely incredible Onni Tommila. I can't wait to see what else this team come up with for the next film!
