It feels silly and serious all at once. They don't make 'em like this anymore.
- Thom Timerson, Trancer Hunter25 January 2026A fun fantasy that mostly holds up today, save for a few minor lines about gender roles and marriage. Jimmy Stewart is his usual and enjoyable everyman. Elsa Lanchester is adorable as Aunt Queenie. And Kim Novak is gorgeous (yowzas!) as Gillian yet a bit unsympathetic and flat. A great classic!
