Behind the Curve Ratings & Reviews
- jgennusaFebruary 24, 2026In a documentary about people who believe the earth is flat, i expected some discussion of why they thought this and seeing them attempt to prove it. Instead, I wasted my time watching them simple just talk about a conspiracy with zero information. It begins with Mark Sargent making a ridiculous claim that Seattle should not be seen from where he was standing on Whidsby Island. He was at Possession Point, which is 21 miles from Seattle. He could see a few buildings. From where he was standing, the top of the tallest (highest elevated) building, which is over 900 ft above sea level, could be 40 miles away and be seen. Finally at 49 minutes in, they talked about an experiment to prove the earth is not rotating, where they performed the experiment two different ways, proved themselves wrong, refused to accept the results they themselves designed and performed and then tried to keep secret. They designed another experiment to prove there is no curvature to the earth and at the very last seconds of the show, their own experiment proved they are wrong. What i got from this movie is that there are people who are making a living from this ridiculous notion and they now have no other choice but to keep it going. They also seem proud of themselves for helping stupidity spread.

Although the topic is completely outrageous, the documentations treat these idiots with respect and allow them to explain their reasoning.
