One of those movies you can't stop watching even tho you're like wtf Phoenix is a great actor. One of my favorites. Not a bad movie actually. Im not sure it had to last 2 hours tho

I think Beau is right to be afraid. This was like a 3 hour panic attack.

    Terrible

This is a prolonged nightmare, in the literal sense. It never drags which is impressive for such a lengthy film. There are many creatively artistic scenes throughout. I am glad I saw it and I never want to watch it again. :-)

This is the result of pretentious and shallow masquerading as profound. The movie fell in love with itself and does not deserve 3 hours of your life. There are good things to be said about the sound design, though.

Complete mind trip of a movie

I mean, it's a movie, I guess. Inexplicable and odd, the movie does little to justify its length and existence.

Beau is Afraid demands us to see it again. It basically screams to be rewatched, paused, rewound, dissected, and examined. The brilliance of writer and director Ari Aster is that these repeat viewings will never ever help you get this movie. It's never going to click and magically make sense - going back to the well will only deepen your appreciation for the craft of the film.

I didn’t understand a thing—absolutely zero—yet I couldn’t stop watching. I love movies like this that keep you hooked for no apparent reason.

Ari Aster must have truly traumatic feelings about his mother.

Keeps you entertained and motivated to keep on the journey of whatever you decide at the moment is going on with this movie. Right away takes you in and you must watch all the way threw because you are unraveling the story as you watch and then are lost again then realizes things then are lost again then mind blown then confused or unsure what’s true or real then boom magic. Definitely interesting.

nice house and I think I would have liked it more if I could connect to the specific religious trauma ari aster has
