Barbershop: A Fresh Cut
Directed by Malcolm D. Lee- Jean Sean23 February 2026The Barbershop series has a certain charm to it that I can't explain. They have a lot of heart. I think this one might be the best in the series. I like the subjects that it tackles and I like the actors they chose to tackle it. In this film, the neighborhood the Barbershop is in and that the characters are trying to raise their kids in is changing and gang violence is on the rise and beginning to influence their children. Common is in this movie playing opposite to Ice Cube, who previously had some pretty serious beef with him in real life. There's a pretty epic scene between the two but having those two specifically be the actors going through the situation really helps to tie in the message of unity and peace.
