Annihilation Ratings & Reviews
- Ahmed SiddiquiOctober 14, 2025A great movie that has hidden depths that won't be easily understandable at first blush. Because of this, it's not a movie that will be liked by everyone. If you're the movie watcher who likes to sink their teeth into a piece of media and likes to understand the deep metaphorical meaning behind things you may have missed while watching the movie for the first time, you'll find a rewarding story about topics like dealing with trauma and how relationships can evolve. If you're not that type of person who wants to do the work to understand a movie, and like your message to be more neatly presented to you, then you'll find this movie to be, on the surface, a slight letdown.
- ananyaOctober 18, 2025the soundtrack was scarier than the actual plot
- Zeus_theBankerOctober 27, 2025Not great, not bad. Visually reminded me of the video game Expedition 33. If you HAVE to watch all the Natalie Portman films because you’re a huge fan go ahead, otherwise this was a waste of time tbh. Story is meh at best.
- lvl1adultDecember 7, 2025Stilted. Never really found its why.
- tellumAugust 17, 2025Wild supernatural body horror movie that somehow stars Natalie Portman.
- Ian FiloNovember 21, 2025A creepy and thought provoking science fiction thriller. Has a stacked cast too.
- SadrioLaVontaApril 28, 2025Mind blowing. Would definitely recommend giving a watch.
- Brian BorgattiOctober 18, 2025Color out of space, but taken to the next level. Definitely worth the watch. Great practical effects and keeps you guessing right till the end.
- Austin GohOctober 5, 2025Had some cool moments
- brossa0August 30, 2025Keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what is going on, and then never tells you what's going on. It started off interesting then ended with a grand 'ol meh.
- mickerdooAugust 28, 2025Slow burner. But very unique. I guess it is a little like Evolution but the total tonal opposite. Little too slow and strange for me.
- StairwaytothestarsAugust 12, 2025Despite great visuals and acting, the movie is a bit of a misfire, perhaps do to it's slow pacing and disjointedness.
- pipanniAugust 9, 2025Awful movie. Starts out ok but slowly descends into a chaotic mess. And by the way that scene with the zombie monster (a bear, I think) is stolen from an old Dungeons and Dragons "choose your adventure" book. That alone pisses me off. Anyway this flick is definitely not for me.
- Rowan KrzysiakMay 11, 2025A film with some intriguing ideas that are played out in a non-patronising in way. There's some great visuals and the performances are mostly top-notch. It's clever enough and it's stupid enough but ultimately I'd say it's more than good enough for your time.
- redaikidokaApril 15, 2025A stunning and thoughtful movie
