Jim lyckas till slut få med sig skolans utbytesstudent Nadia till sitt pojkrum där han i ett tafatt försök att förföra henne gör bort sig ganska så ordentligt... och allting sänds ut via internet till hans skolkompisars stora glädje. Men skam den som ger sig tänker Jim och använder sedan sin mors nybakade paj till något helt annat än efterrätt... " American Pie " är en fullkomligt galen film om hur det är att vara ung och nyfiken. Vi får följa Jim och hans kompisar under en hektisk tid i skolan då läxor knappast är det första de tänker på... Och huvudet är knappast det första de tänker med.

It introduced characters I’d go on to love for years to come and is so embarrassingly over-the-top that its scarily relatable to where I was in my life back in 1999 (minus the pie… I promise)

- Callum21 december 2025⭐⭐⭐⭐½ – American Pie — Crude, Honest, and Weirdly Decent American Pie is another giggly, gross-out comedy aimed squarely at teenagers, but it stands a cut above most of its imitators by virtue of something surprisingly rare for the genre: a genuinely satisfying ending. Beneath the bodily-function humour and awkward sexual mishaps, there’s a sincerity that gives the film far more staying power than it has any right to. Part of what works so well is the casting. The characters look plausible, behave like actual awkward teens, and — for all the exaggeration — feel recognisably human. The film treats sex with a blunt kind of honesty and very little apology, which was refreshing at the time and still gives it an edge now. What really sets American Pie apart is its unusual ability to mix crude humour with an unlooked-for sense of decency. It’s happy to be outrageous, but it also allows its characters moments of vulnerability, growth, and genuine connection. That balance is what elevates it beyond being just another string of shock jokes. This is, of course, the film that kicked off the entire American Pie franchise, for better and worse. And it’s hard to imagine it being made in quite the same way today. The content would land very differently now — not because it was “fine” then, but because we’ve collectively become much more aware of the implications behind the jokes. Ironically, that friction is part of its charm: it captures a specific moment in time when certain things were known to be wrong, but still played for uncomfortable laughs rather than serious reckoning. Crude, funny, occasionally uncomfortable, and oddly heartfelt, American Pie remains a standout of its era. 🥧 Pairing: A slice of warm apple pie — messy, indulgent, and best enjoyed knowing exactly what you’re getting into.
