- Desmond DaleJanuary 24, 2025It's perplexing and frustrating seemingly by design and because of that it's hard to find much fault in the execution of the film's concepts; however, I can say that I did not find the concept to be very enjoyable. It's never quite scary and it's also not consistently funny. Instead it kind of lands like Norm Mcdonald anti-joke, which works for a brief short story but in a full-length film this comes off like an exercise in viewer punishment. The film is amusing but in the way that getting a popcorn kernel stuck in your teeth is amusing. And in the end when you think it's freed you realize there's still a tiny piece left.
